My Favorite Things

People often ask me what kitchen appliances and gadgets I use, and what books I like about healthy eating and cooking. Therefore, I created this post to share some of my favorite things with you, along with links to where you can buy them. I would not recommend these products if I did not find them to be helpful. Be sure to check this post often as it will be updated as I find more products to share!

    Kitchen Gadgets and Appliances

    • Ninja Air Fryer: I love my Ninja Air Fryer Pro 4-in-1! The separate basket and non-stick grid make this air fryer very easy to cook with and clean. The large size allows me to make larger quantities of food and have leftovers for a snack or another meal.

    • Black and Decker Electric Food Chopper: This chopper is perfect for chopping small amounts of food, and it can also be used to make salsa. Simply place the food to be chopped in the bowl and push the button until you have the desired consistency. It’s easy to clean and the compact size makes it easy to store.

    • Hamilton Beach Single Serve Blender: I originally bought this for making smoothies but then realized it can be used for so many other things as well. The travel lid makes it super convenient, and because the blending is done directly in the jar you drink from, you don’t need to transfer anything to another cup or bowl.

    • Yarramate Olive Oil Sprayer: I use olive oil with a lot of food that I cook, and this sprayer bottle makes it so much easier to prepare food with. It can also be used as a non-stick spray in your pots and pans.

    • Hamilton Beach Toaster Oven Broiler: This toaster oven has taken the place of my conventional oven for many meals because just about everything I cook in my conventional oven can fit in my toaster oven. Plus, it takes the place of a toaster as well. Toaster ovens also use a lot less electricity than a regular oven. In addition, you can buy baking pans designed for toaster ovens so you can easily make casseroles and other recipes.

    Kitchen Organization

    • Rubbermaid FreshWorks Produce Saver Containers: I have several of these containers in various sizes. They help keep my produce nicely stored in my refrigerator, plus they are easy to clean.

    • Cicliy Kitchen Sink Caddy: This kitchen sink caddy keeps the area around my kitchen sink clean and organized, without taking up a lot of space. The spout allows the water in sponges to drain directly in the sink.

    Books

    • The Food Cop: Nutrition Guide and Workbook: Of course I have to include my own book as one of my favorite things! This book helps lead you along the path to eating healthy and living a healthy lifestyle by guiding you through deciding which foods are healthy and unhealthy, maintaining a healthy weight/body fat percentage, understanding food labels and proper portion sizes, and much more.

    • What's a Cook to Do: This is such a fun and useful book! It contains hundreds of tips, tricks, and advice about working with food – from prep work to cooking to choosing the right kitchen gadgets, and so much more.
